Import from Plausible
Export your Plausible history as a ZIP file and upload it to Pulse.

Getting the export
In Plausible: Site settings → Imports and Exports → Export to CSV. Plausible builds the export in the background and emails you a link to a ZIP file once it's ready.
On the confirm screen, Pulse asks which timezone your Plausible site is set to. Plausible's export doesn't state its own timezone inside the file, so Pulse needs you to say it: if your site's Plausible timezone and its Pulse timezone differ, imported days are placed as Plausible counted them, and the confirm screen says so.
Upload the ZIP exactly as Plausible sent it. Pulse reads it in your browser; nothing inside it is sent to Pulse except the daily totals it produces.
What's imported
- Visitors, visits and pageviews, per day
- Pages, and entry and exit pages
- Referrers and campaigns
- Countries, regions and cities
- Devices, browsers and operating systems
What isn't
- Language and screen size. Plausible's export doesn't include them.
- Custom events and goals. Not yet: they're planned for a later release.
- Bounce rate and visit duration. Pulse shows its own, measured from the days it tracked itself. See Why imported numbers differ.
Worth knowing
Plausible's per-day export can't tell a visit with no referrer apart from a visit that arrived by a shared link with no referrer attached: native Pulse tracking tells them apart by the page someone lands on, but a day-level export has no landing page to read. So every no-referrer row from a Plausible import shows as Direct, the same treatment every aggregate export gets.
Visitors on imported days are Plausible's own daily counts added together. Someone who visited on three separate days within your range counts three times, the same way Plausible's own dashboard would count them over that range. This isn't a flaw in the import: Plausible's export gives Pulse one visitor count per day, with no way to tell whether two days' visitors were the same person.
